I made this in Windows movie maker. Sorry if the quality is poor. This is a very optimistic/patriotic message. I know the reality of peak oil and that nothing I listed in this video will solve all our problems, but it will buy us some time. The point of this video is that energy solutions don’t have to be either/or. This video is NOT about the environment. It is about common sense energy solutions. I made this during the presidential election because I was sick of hearing that either you are for alternative energy or you are for further expansion of domestic drilling when in reality we will need both. I think we will have an energy crisis if we don’t consider all options including updating and developing more domestic energy sources. It’s not introducing any new ideas, it is just reminding people to consider everything. As of 2008, the United States ranks first in the world in wind power capacity, followed by Germany, Spain, and China. Denmark ranks ninth in the world in wind power capacity, but generates about 20% of its electricity from wind. tonto.eia.doe.gov Hydroelectric power water use “The trend for the future will probably be to build small-scale hydro plants that can generate electricity for a single community.” ga.water.usgs.gov The photo at the end of the rolling hills is where I grew up and where my family still lives. In search for good farmland?

by admin on September 6, 2010

I am currently living in California (Sunnyvale) and Ohio (Youngstown) equal amount of time at each place. I have money to invest for my retirement in next 15-20 years. My idea is to buy a good farmland for myself. I am justing starting my search and have no idea how much it would cost.

1. I want farmland to have access to irrigation.
2. Preferable good weather.
3. My preference is Grain (Wheat, Corn) farming and not interested in wine etc.
4. Close to City.
5. Not very expensive and value for money.

6. Looking at prices at Bay area I assume that farmland in SF area will be expensive and yield on the farm would not be enough to justify the investment.

7. If possible I want to buy now and lease it until I am myself ready to move to the farmland.

8. Availability Water and Sun is essential.

9. Potential for Wind Power Harvesting and Solar is also desired.
10. No water table problem in the area.
11. Willing to consider Costa Rica as well.
Any help in starting my search will be useful

In Appalachia, almost 500 mountains have been blown up for coal mining. Coal River Wind Project proposes leaving the mountain intact for a wind farm to provide long-term renewable energy to the US. Reducing our dependence on coal is not only better for the environment, say Coal River Wind, but economically profitable for local citizens [...]

Wouldn’t it benefit solar and wind power companies to fund so called Research to scare people with the phantom event of Global Warming?

THE DIESEL ENGINE PROJECT VEGGIE OIL DID NOT GO SO WELL

September 4, 2010

12KW marine diesel generator I run on veggie oil. I just reworked the head and found out I have a bad piston. This is a great complimint to solar and wind power setup. I am big on backup power and emergency power. When I get it right I will post a video on how it [...]
