Does Solar Power have any economic importance to Australia?

Ok, I just need to figure out if Solar power has any economic importance to Australia. I don’t think it does because it is a recurring thing… with the whole energy from the sun. Any info would be much appreciated.

Surely you can’t believe solar power has no economic importance to Australia?!?!?!?!!!!

Electricity generated with solar power, water heated with solar energy, or buildings being heated with solar power are all things of economic importance anywhere – including Australia.

Also, Australia has that solar powered car race that generates a lot of interest in solar power worldwide – including the economic benefit to Australia of having people come Down Under for that race.

We have been using solar power for heating water for decades. This is a profitable industry and so adds economically to Australia.

You can buy solar panels to produce electricity for your house etc.

It is used at remote locations to supply power where the cost of the infrastructure of power cables is prohibitively expensive.

Etc, If you think about it there are thousands of examples. These are not even touching on the future generation of electricity and exporting of the technology
